Fullday My Son Sanctuary and Vinh Trinh Massacre

1 days - Fullday My Son Sanctuary and Vinh Trinh Massacre

Tour code: GAF01
My Son is a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Shiva Hindu temples, built between the 4th and 14th centuries by the Kings of Champa. The temples were attended by the Shaivites, who worshipped the supreme god Shiva.

Vinh Trinh was a massacre by the Republic of Vietnam against 38 Viet Minh soldiers, including one pregnant woman.
To remember this crime, a memorial area for fallen revolutionary soldiers was built 18 meters above the surface of the lake. There emerged 38 lotus flowers, symbolizing the 38 murdered lives. Next to the lotus pond is a 10-meter-tall statue of a soldier, his hands tied behind his back, standing tall, and his head held high.
