Arrive in Phnom Penh, where you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure exploring the city. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

DAY 2. PHNOM PENH B, L
In the morning, visit the infamous Choeung Ek Killing Fields, located 15 km southwest of the city, the site where over 17,000 individuals were brutally executed after suffering interrogations and torture at Toul Sleng Prison during the Khmer Rouge regime (1975–1979). Continue to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21), a former high school turned prison, which became the largest detention and torture center under Khmer Rouge rule. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, stop at the Independence Monument for photos. Next, visit the magnificent Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866, and the Silver Pagoda, known for its floor made of 5,000 silver tiles. Leave the Royal Palace to explore the National Museum, renowned for its impressive collection of Khmer art. The final stop of the day is Wat Phnom, the tallest religious structure in the city, built in 1373, standing 27 meters high, originally called Wat Preah Chedey Borapaut. Begin your overland journey to Kampong Cham, passing through Cambodia’s largest rubber-growing region. The striking contrast between lush vegetation and red basalt soil is breathtaking. Upon arrival in Kampong Cham, explore its beautiful French colonial architecture and Wat Nokhor, which features an ancient temple and modern pagoda. Continue on to Kampong Thom, stopping at Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei, known as the "man hill" and "woman hill." After checking into your hotel, visit nearby villages and climb 980 steps to the top of Phnom Santuk for an impressive sunset view. Overnight in Kampong Thom.

Depart Kampong Thom for Sambor Prei Kuk, a jungle-encased temple complex located 30 km north of town that is often overlooked by tourists. Experience the beautiful integration of architecture and nature as you explore the Pre-Angkorian ruins on foot and by bike. Enjoy a simple but delicious lunch prepared by the local community near the temples. After lunch, continue your journey to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax for the rest of the afternoon.

Spend the morning exploring some of the most iconic temple complexes in Angkor. Next, visit Ta Prohm, known for its stunning architecture entwined with trees and vegetation, making it a favorite among visitors. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, savoring the local cuisine. In the afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, renowned for its intricate design and beauty.
