DAY 1. SLOW BOAT ON THE MEKONG B, L, D
Your bikes will be loaded onto the boat as you embark on a gentle adventure in Northern Laos. Few have had this unique experience. The boat glides down the Mekong, providing ample time to get acquainted with your guide and learn about Laos and your upcoming journey. A traditional Lao picnic lunch will be served on board. Relax and soak in the beautiful scenery.

DAY 2. PAKBENG TO OUDOMXAY B, L, D
After a short vehicle transfer, you’ll cycle through rural Laos, home to hill tribe villagers who make a modest living from the land. Along the route, you’ll pass through villages of Phu Thai, Thai Lu, Hmong, Thai Dam, Lao, and Khamu. The locals are friendly and still welcoming to tourists. You’ll see them weaving in the shade on traditional looms. After climbing a 300-meter pass, a long descent will take you to Oudomxay, the capital of Oudomxay Province. From there, we’ll transfer around the city and cycle along the Kat River to the serene Namkat Yorla Pa Resort.

DAY 3. OUDOMXAY TO NONG KHIAW B, L, D
Following a one-hour uphill transfer, you’ll begin cycling at an altitude of 1,300 meters. Enjoy stunning views and observe daily life in the Hmong villages that populate this area. A long descent will lead you to Pak Mong for lunch. From Pak Mong, you’ll cycle along a small road into the scenic karst limestone mountains surrounding Nong Khiaw.
You’ll stay overnight at a resort with magnificent views of the mountains and the Nam Ou River.

DAY 4. NONG KHIAW TO LUANG PRABANG B, L
Today begins with a lovely trip down the Nam Ou River, followed by flatter, well-maintained roads that will help you cover the distance to Luang Prabang. You’ll face only a few minor climbs before cycling along the banks of the Nam Ou River, with breathtaking views of towering mountain ranges. The final stretch takes you through teakwood plantations before arriving in Luang Prabang.
